Albania Coronavirus Update 25 June: 48 Deaths, 1250 Recovered, 78 New Cases, 894 Active Cases, 2192 Total Cases

78 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2192.

The new cases were found in Shkodra (14), Kruja (13), Tirana (12), Puka (9), Delvina (6), Gjirokastra (4), Vlora (4), Kukës (4), Kamza (2), Durrës (2), Fier (2), Kurbin (1), Korça (1), Kavaja (1), Lushnja (1), Mirdita (1), and Pogradec (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

70 percent of those infected, or 1250 people have recovered.

Over 25,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 76 patients hospitalized with the virus, 14 are in intensive care, two are intubated. The average age of those hospitalized is 61 years old

894 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (370), Durrës (176), Shkodra (153), Vlora (79), Fier (41), Elbasan (9), Korça (20), Lezha (26), Kukës (12), Gjirokastra (6), and Berat (2).
