Albania Coronavirus Update 26 August: 4 Dead, 168 New Cases

Four people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of victims to 263. They were 55, 62, 63 and 85 years old.

168 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 8927, the Ministry of Health reported. 76 of the new cases were found in Tirana.

102 people have recovered, bringing the total to 4633.

Over 58,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.

There are 164 patients hospitalized with the virus, 14 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.

4031 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (2037), Durrës (518), Shkodër (298), Vlorë (143), Fier (173), Lezhë (190), Korçë (201), Kukës (139), Elbasan (149), Berat (80), Gjirokastër (50), and Dibër (53).
