4 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 51-year old from Dibra, a 62-year old from Tirana, a 68-year old from Shkodra, and a 73-year old from Tirana succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 138. They all had underlying conditions.
126 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4763, the Ministry of health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (74), Kavaja (9), Shkodra (9), Durrës (6), Kruja (4), Mirdita (4), Vlora (4), Korca (3), Lezha (3), Vau i Dejes (3), Tropoja (2), Elbasan (1), Saranda (1), Kamza (1), Lushnja (1), Pogradec (1).
45 people were recovered, bringing the total to 2682.
1943 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1056), Durrës (220), Shkodra (203), and Vlora (100).
More than 38,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.
There are currently 112 patients hospitalized with the virus, 19 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.
