Albania Coronavirus Update 27 July: 6 Dead, 117 New Cases

6 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 49-year old, a 54-year old, and a 58-year old with no underlying conditions, as well as a 66-year old, 58-year old, and 76-year old with underlying conditions succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 146.

117 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4880, the Ministry of health reported.

The new cases were found in Tirana (63), Durrës (10), Fier (8), Kavaja (7), Shkodra (7), Durrës (6), Kruja (4), Mirdita (4), Vlora (4), Korça (3), Lezha (3), Vau i Dejës (3), Tropoja (2), Elbasan (1), Kamza (1), Lushnja (1), Pogradec (1), and Saranda (1).

63 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2745.

1991 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1082), Durrës (230), Shkodra (198), and Vlora (100).

More than 38,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.

There are currently 114 patients hospitalized with the virus, 19 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.
