61 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2330.
A 59-year old from Lushnja and a 77-year old from Vlora succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 53.
The new cases were found in Tirana (12), Vlora (11), Shkodra (1), Durrës (7), Kukes (5), Divjaka (5), Korça (3), Fier (1), Kurbin (3), Puka (3), Kamza (1), Kruja (2), Saranda (1), Lezha (1), Has (1), Mirdita (1), Kamza (1), Fushe-Arrez (1), Selenica (1), and Belsh (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
70 percent of those infected, or 1346 people have recovered.
Over 25,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 81 patients hospitalized with the virus, 12 are in intensive care, two are intubated. The average age of those hospitalized is 61 years old.
931 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (375), Durrës (174), Shkodra (154), Vlora (84), Fier (44), Elbasan (12), Korça (25), Lezha (27), Kukës (13), Gjirokastra (7), and Berat (5).
