4 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. An 84-year old from Shkodra and a 75-year old from Tirana with no underlying conditions, as well as an 82-year old and a 78-year old from Tirana with underlying conditions succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 148.
117 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4997, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (58), Durrës (12), Kukës (8), Kruja (7), Korça (7), Shkodra (5), Vlora (3), Divjaka (3), Fier (2), Has (2), Klos (2), Kurbin (1), Lezha (1), Kavaja (1), Lushnja (1), Mat (1), Gjirokastra (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), and Bulqiza (1).
44 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2789.
2060 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1111), Durrës (245), Shkodra (202), and Vlora (102).
Approximately 39,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.
There are currently 123 patients hospitalized with the virus, 22 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.
