90 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2752.
This is the highest number of infected cases found in a day since the beginning of the pandemic.
A 57-year old from Shkodra, a 65-year old from Tirana, and a 76-year old from Durrës succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 72.
The new cases were found in Tirana (35), Kruja (12), Kurbin (10), Vlora (8), Shkodra (6), Përmet (4), Pogradec (3), Kukës (2), Lezha (2), Kavaja (2), Lushnja (2), Kolonja (1), Vau i Dejës (1), Kamza (1), and Durrës (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
1592 people have recovered.
Around 28,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 80 patients hospitalized with the virus, 8 are in intensive care, one is intubated.
1088 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (409), Durrës (209), Shkodra (158), Vlora (117), Fier (46), Elbasan (13), Korça (32), Lezha (57), Kukës (21), Gjirokastra (10), Berat (8), and Dibra (8).
