4 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 31-year old from Tirana who suffered from diabetes, as well as a 69-year old from Shkodra, a 76-year old from Fier, and a 85-year old from Korca succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 154.
92 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 5197, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (49), Kukës (11), Durrës (5), Fier (4), Shkodra (3), Lezha (3), Elbasan (2), Berat (2), Roskovec (2), Bulqiza (2), Kurbin (1), Kavaja (1), Vlora (1), Mirdita (1), Mallakastra (1), Mat (1), Delvina (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), and Shijak (1).
53 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2883.
2160 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1146), Durrës (255), Shkodra (202), and Vlora (105).
Approximately 39,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.
There are currently 124 patients hospitalized with the virus, 18 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.
