Albania Coronavirus Update 30 June: 62 Deaths, 1459 Recovered, 69 New Cases, 1014 Active Cases, 2535 Total Cases

69 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2535.

A 71-year old and a 85-year old from Tirana, as well as a 44-year old from Durrës succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 62.

The new cases were found in Tirana (23), Kruja (10), Durrës (10), Vlora (6), Mat (5), Kurbin (4), Kamza (4), Shkodra (2), Fier (2), Kavaja (2) and Lushnje (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

1459 people have recovered.

Over 25,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 70 patients hospitalized with the virus, 7 are in intensive care, three are intubated. The average age of those hospitalized is 61 years old.

1014 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (358), Durrës (198), Shkodra (155), Vlora (100), Fier (47), Elbasan (13), Korça (28), Lezha (39), Kukës (18), Gjirokastra (7), Berat (5), and Dibër (1).
