3 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 56-year old and a 70-year old from Tirana, as well as a 90-year old from Elbasan succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 157.
79 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 5276, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (56), Fier (3), Shkodra (6), Kruja (6), Lushnja (3), Elbasan (1), Kavaja (1), Vlora (1), Kamza (1), and Divjaka (1).
69 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2952.
2167 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1191), Durrës (256), Shkodra (209), and Vlora (94).
Approximately 39,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.
There are currently 115 patients hospitalized with the virus, 16 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.
