Two more people have lost their lives in Albania due to Covid-19; a 67-year-old and a 69-year-old. They both had underlying conditions.
A total of 74 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 2,893.
The death toll in Albania has reached 76, distributed as follows: Tirana 43, Durres 12, Fier 5, Vlora 2, Shkodra 11, Kukes 1 and Elbasan 2.
A total of 89 patients are being treated, 11 of which are in intensive care. One is currently intubated.
During the last 24 hours, 392 tests were performed and 74 cases confirmed. The new cases are distributed as follows: Tirana 22, Kruja 12, Puka 8, Berat 8, Vlora 4, Shkodra 2, Durresi 2, Kurbin 2, Kavaja 2, Kamza 2, Permet 2, Malesi e Madhe 2, Lushnja 1, Gjirokastra 1, Pogradec 1, Dibra 1, Kolonja 1.
There have been 20 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of 1657.
There are currently 1106 active cases, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra and Durres.
The Ministry has encouraged businesses to allow staff to work from home where possible, to minimize contact between staff. They also called on people to exercise caution, to use the mask everywhere indoors when in public, and to keep distance.
