6 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 64-year old, a 65-year old, and a 69-year old from Durrës, as well a 72-year old from Fier, a 73-year old from Korca and a 78-year old from Tirana succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of victims to 188.
127 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 6016, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (36), Kruja (28), Durrës (15), Has (8), Kukes (5), Fier (4), Shkodra (3), Korca (3), Elbasan (3), Vlora (3), Gjirokastra (3), Lezha (2), Permet (2), Klos (2), Shijak (2), Finiq (2), Kurbin (1), Lushnja (1), Berat (1), Tepelena (1), Kolonja (1), and Malesi e Madhe (1).
32 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3155.
2673 cases are still active in the country, about half of them in Tirana.
Over 42,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 119 patients hospitalized with the virus, 22 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.
