20 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1232.
An 85-year old woman succumbed to the virus yesterday evening, bringing the total number of victims to 34.
Over 18,000 tests have been conducted since the beginning of March.
75% of those affected, or 925 people have recovered.
According to the Institute of Public Health, the new cases have been found in Tirana (10), Kruja (3), Shkodra (3), Durrës (2), and Tropoja (2).
There are currently 27 patients hospitalized with the virus and six are in intensive care.
273 cases are still active in the country, mainly in Tirana, Durres, Kruja, and Shkodra.
The geographical distribution of active cases is as follows: Tirana (185), Durrës (12), Kruja (22), Shkodra (14), Berat (2), Kamza (14), Mat (9), Lushnja (6), Fier (2), Korça (1), Librazhd (1), Mallakastra (1).
