Albania Coronavirus Update 7 July: 81 Deaths, 1744 Recovered, 74 New Cases, 1213 Active Cases, 3038 Total Cases

74 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3038.

A 45-year old from Berat, and a 82-year doctor from Kruja succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 81.

The new cases were found in Tirana (37), Durrës (10), Shkodra (5), Korça (3), Kavaja (3), Fier (2), Lushnja (2), Mirdita (2), Elbasan (1), Puka (1), Berat (1), Kamza (1), Gjirokastra (1), Pogradec (1), Saranda (1), Vau i Dejës (1), Dibra (1), and Malësi e Madhe (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

1744 people have recovered.

409 tests have been conducted during the last 24 hours. Around 30,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 81 patients hospitalized with the virus, 7 are in intensive care, two are intubated in aggravated condition.

1213 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (477), Durrës (221), Shkodra (167), Vlora (115), Fier (49), Elbasan (25), Korça (30), Lezha (63), Kukës (24), Gjirokastra (15), Berat (16), and Dibra (11).
