Albania COVID-19 Update 1 March: 20 Deaths, 764 Infections, 640 Recoveries

Twenty people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,816. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 85.

There were 764 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 107,931.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 640 people; 70,413 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 14,295, of which 800 doses today.

There are currently 659 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 43 in intensive care, and 11 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (310), Librazhd (35), Shkodër (33), Tepelenë (28), Gjirokastër (27), Durrës (24), Elbasan (24), Kukës (24), Berat (23), Vlorë (22), Peqin (22), Kavajë (20), Kuçovë (20), Sarandë (16), Delvinë (13), Fier (11), Lezhë (11), Gramsh (10), Krujë (9), Korçë (9), Mirditë (7), Mat (7), Lushnje (6), Bulqizë (6), Vorë (6), Has (5), Pukë (5), Kamëz (4), Përmet (4), two cases in Kurbin, Ura Vajgurore, Fushë Arrëz, Selenicë, Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, Roskovec, and one case in Rrogozhinë, Belsh, Memaliaj, Kolonjë, Skrapar, Patos, Cerrik, Poliçan, Këlcyrë.

35,702 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (22,974), Fier (2,621), Vlorë (1,765), Durrës (1,651), Shkodër (1,367), Gjirokaster (1,115), Elbasan (943), Korçë (880), Berat (871), Lezhë (792), Dibër (372), and Kukës (351).
