Albania COVID-19 Update 10 December: 14 Dead, 873 Infections, 537 Recoveries

Fourteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 964.

About 60 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus, or 578 deaths have occurred since October.

873 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 46,061. Over 68 percent of the total cases have occurred in the last two months.

537 people have recovered, 23,609 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 436 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 29 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (364), Fier (100), Durrës (67), Elbasan (57), Shkodra (45), Kavaja (32), Lezha (25), Librazhd (22), Kruja (19), Saranda (19), Lushnja (18), Kurbin (13), Malësi e Madhe (11), Korça (10), Përmet (10), Peqin (10), Tepelena (9), Delvina (7), Gjirokastra (6), Mallakastra (6), Puka (5), Gramsh (5), Kukës (4), Kolonja (2), Devoll (1), Has (1), Vlora (1), Berat (1), Pogradec (1), Dibra (1), and Kuçova (1).

21,487 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (11707), Fier (1655), Durrës (1374), Korça (1081), Vlora (1067), Shkodra (977), Elbasan (894), Lezha (798), Berat (744), Gjirokastra (485), Kukës (440), and Dibra (265).
