Albania COVID-19 Update 10 January: 8 Dead, 562 Infections, 321 Recoveries

Eight people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,241. The victims’ age varies between 72 and 86.

562 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 63,595.

321 people have recovered; 37,648 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 274 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 23 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (172), Vlora (41), Durrës (37), Shkodra (25), Saranda (21), Lushnja (20), Kurbin (19), Kruja (18), Lezha (17), Fier (16), Kamza (16), Kavaja (15), Berat (14), Dibra (12), Elbasan (11), Divjaka (9), Mat (7), Kukës (6), Delvina (6), Ura Vajgurore (6), Prrenjas (6), Kuçova (6), Vora (6), Cerrik (5), Puka (4), Librazhd (4), Gjirokastra (4), Bulqiza (4), Has (3), Pogradec (3), Vau i Dejës (3), Selenica (3), Patos (3), Mirdita (2), Rrogozhina (2), Mallakastra (2), Përmet (2), Tepelena (2), Klos (2), Gramsh (2), Korça (1), Devoll (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), Shijak (1), Skrapar (1), Libohova (1).

24,706 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (14275), Fier (1805), Shkodra (1336), Durrës (1303), Lezha (1003), Vlora (1004), Korça (902), Elbasan (901), Berat (811), Dibër (520), Gjirokaster (444),and Kukës (402).
