Albania COVID-19 Update 10 March: 17 Deaths, 631 Infections, 71 Recoveries

Seventeen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,986. The victims’ age varies between 22 and 89.

There were 631 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 114,840.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 714 people; 77,498 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 21,613 of which 702 doses today.

There are currently 649 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 43 in intensive care, and 15 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (255), Vlorë (36), Shkodër (34), Fier (32), Durrës (23), Korçë (17), Mirditë (16), Krujë (15), Lushnje (15), Kamëz (15), Elbasan (14), Lezhë (13), Kavajë (11), Librazhd (11), Kukës (10), Gjirokastër (9), Pogradec (9), Peqin (8), Berat (7), Tepelenë (7), Kurbin (6), Pukë (6), Kuçovë (6), Dibër (5), Kolonjë (4), Devoll (3), Tropojë (3), Mallakastër (3), Mat (3), Ura Vajgurore (3), Shijak (3), Patos (3), Cërrik (3), two cases in Përmet, Sarandë, Delvinë, Malësi e Madhe, Gramsh, Skrapar, Vorë, and one case in Has, Rrogozhinë, Vau i Dejës, Fushë- Arrëz, Selenicë, Prrenjas, Himarë, Maliq, Poliçan.

35,356 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,508), Fier (2,542), Vlorë (1,676), Durrës (1,661), Shkodër (1,325), Gjirokaster (1,258), Korçë (861), Elbasan (672), Lezhë (705), Berat (491), Dibër (338), and Kukës (319).
