Albania COVID-19 Update 11 January: 6 Dead, 376 Infections, 333 Recoveries

Six people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,247. The victims’ age varies between 56 and 82.

376 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 63,971.

333 people have recovered; 37,981 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 263 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 27 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (98), Lushnje (29), Durrës (27), Shkodër (24), Vlorë (21), Fier (21), Sarandë (15), Kavajë (13), Berat (11), Gramsh (10), Korçë (8), Mat (7), Mirditë (6), Delvinë (6), Dibër (6), Bulqizë (6), Vorë (6), Kavajë (5), Mallakastër (5), Kamëz (5), Vau i Dejës (5), Malësi e Madhe (5), Kuçovë (5),  Kurbin (3), Divjakë (3), Belsh (3), Prrenjas (3), two cases in Devoll, Kukës, Lezhë, Librazhd, Gjirokastër, Cërrik, and one case Elbasan, Has, Rrogozhinë, Tropojë, Tepelenë, Rroskovec, Këlcyrë, Libohovë.

24,743 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (14299), Fier (1803), Shkodra (1357), Durrës (1300), Lezha (1001), Vlora (1021), Korça (887), Elbasan (903), Berat (798), Dibër (539), Gjirokaster (446), and Kukës (389).
