Albania COVID-19 Update 11 March: 16 Deaths, 602 Infections, 761 Recoveries

Sixteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,002. The victims’ age varies between 22 and 89.

There were 602 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 115,442.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 761 people; 78,259 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 22,693 of which 1080 doses today.

There are currently 620 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 37 in intensive care, and 12 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (243), Korçë (29), Durrës (28), Fier (28), Shkodër (27), Sarandë (27), Vlorë (23), Lezhë (20), Kamëz (14), Gjirokastër (14), Berat (11), Lushnje (10), Elbasan (8), Pogradec (8), Mirditë (7), Tepelenë (7), Malësi e Madhe (7), Peqin (7), Kurbin (6), Vau i Dejës (6), Librazhd (6), Prrenjas (6), Devoll (5), Kukës (5), Kavajë (5), Gramsh (5), Shijak (5), Mallakastër (4), Kolonjë (4), Tropojë (3), Përmet (3), Delvinë (3), two cases in Divjakë, Dibër, Kuçovë, Vorë, Patos, and one case in Krujë, Mat, Belsh, Himarë, Memaliaj, Skrapar, Maliq, Poliçan.

35,181 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,511), Fier (2,540), Vlorë (1,659), Durrës (1,662), Shkodër (1,327), Gjirokaster (1,219), Korçë (879), Elbasan (624), Lezhë (694), Berat (420), Dibër (340), and Kukës (306).
