Fourteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1003.
About 60 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October.
788 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 48,530. Over 70 percent of the total cases have occurred since October.
300 people have recovered, 24,820 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 454 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 23 are in intensive care, 8 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (222), Shkodër (111), Fier (77), Krujë (34), Lezhë (34), Berat (31), Sarandë (27), Vlorë (21), Durrës (19), Librazhd (18), Gramsh (16), Mat (16), Kavajë (15), Korçë (14), Elbasan (14), Lushnje (13), Tepelenë (13), Peqin (11), Has (11), Përmet (10), Mirditë (8), Pogradec (8), Delvinë (7), Mallakastër (5), Gjirokastër (5), Skrapar (4), Dibër (4), Pukë (4), Kurbin (4), Kukës (3), Kolonjë (3), two cases in Devoll, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqizë.
22,707 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (12162), Fier (1747), Durrës (1402), Korça (1157), Vlora (1146), Shkodra (1139), Elbasan (964), Berat (843), Lezha (823), Gjirokastra (550), Kukës (448), and Dibra (326).
