Five people – aged 59, 66, 79, 85 and 71 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 434, Albanian authorities reported.
203 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 15,955.
89 people have recovered, bringing the total to 9,762.
There are currently 239 patients hospitalized with the virus, 15 are in intensive care, 6 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (68), Fier (17), Korçë (17), Elbasan (15), Berat (14), Lezhë (12), Durrës (10), Lushnje (9), Pogradec (6), Vlorë (5), Sarandë (5), Gramsh (3), Kuçovë (3), two cases in Shkodër, Kurbin, Mirditë, Tepelenë, Roskovec, and one case in Krujë, Kavajë, Librazhd, Mat, Fushë-Arrëz, Selenicë, Bulqizë, Shijak, Vorë.
5,759 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (2890), Durrës (593), Shkodër (426), Lezhë (290), Elbasan (246), Korçë (325), Fier (306), Vlorë (208), Kukës (159), Berat (168), Dibër (82), Gjirokastër (66).
