Albania COVID-19 Update 15 January: 4 Dead, 641 Infections, 379 Recoveries

Four people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,265. The victims’ age varies between 52 and 80.

641 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 66,635.

379 people have recovered; 39,625 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 280 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 33 are in intensive care, 6 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (182), Durrës (50), Vlorë (33), Shkodër (35), Kavajë (29), Lushnje (29), Fier (24), Lezhë (22), Korçë (20), Elbasan (19), Berat (18), Mat (14), Krujë (13), Kamëz (12), Librazhd (10), Tropojë (9), Pogradec (8), Sarandë (8), Kukës (7), Kurbin (6), Dibër (6), Bulqizë (6), Kuçovë (6), Vorë (6), Gramsh (5), Shijak (5), Cerrik (5), Poliçan (5), Delvinë (4), Peqin (4), Vau i Dejës (3), two cases in Pukë, Mirditë, Rrogozhinë, Mallakastër, Gjirokastër, Ura Vajgurore, Divjakë, Belsh, Prrenjas, Memaliaj, Maliq, Patos, Dropull, Këlcyrë, and one cae in Has, Përmet, Tepelenë, Malësi e Madhe, Skrapar.

25,745 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (14827), Fier (1893), Shkodra (1407), Durrës (1447), Lezha (1030), Vlora (1019), Korça (909), Elbasan (1002), Berat (826), Dibër (538), Gjirokaster (465), and Kukës (382).
