Five people – aged 65, 70, 71, 75 and 77 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 439, Albanian authorities reported.
257 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 16,212.
102 people have recovered, bringing the total to 9,864.
There are currently 249 patients hospitalized with the virus, 21 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (83), Fier (29), Durrës (27), Shkodër (20), Korçë (14), Berat (12), Elbasan (11), Mirditë (8), Lushnje (7), Tropojë (6), Lezhë (4), Librazhd (4), Kuçovë (4), Kukës (3), Kavajë (3), two cases in Has, Vlorë, Gjirokastër, Pogradec, Ura-Vajgurore, Divjakë, and one case Krujë, Devoll, Kamëz, Mat, Tepelenë, Dibër, Prrenjas, Roskovec, Memaliaj, Gramsh.
5,909 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (2935), Durrës (620), Shkodër (439), Lezhë (299), Elbasan (257), Korçë (329), Fier (336), Vlorë (210), Kukës (167), Berat (174), Dibër (78), Gjirokastër (65).
