Seventeen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,077. The victims’ age varies between 54 and 86.
There were 475 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 118 thousand.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 749 people; 81,810 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 30,031 of which 2,666 doses today.
There are currently 445 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 31 in intensive care, and 17 intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (183), Shkodër (46), Korçë (25), Mirditë (24), Fier (19), Elbasan (18), Berat (18), Kukës (16), Berat (16), Durrës (15), Vlorë (11), Tepelenë (8), Kavajë (7), Librazhd (6), Lezhë (5), Mallakastër (5), Kamëz (4), Sarandë (4), Bulqizë (4), Krujë (3), Devoll (3), Lushnje (3), Përmet (3), Gramsh (3), Skrapar (3), two cases in Has, Rrogozhinë, Delvinë, Vau i Dejës, Malësi e Madhe, Peqin, Kuçovë, Cerrik, Libohovë, and one case in Kurbin, Dibër, Prrenjas, Kolonjë, Poliçan.
34,605 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,202), Fier (2,566), Durrës (1,618), Vlorë (1,554), Shkodër (1,295), Gjirokaster (1,223), Korçë (846), Lezhë (734), Elbasan (545), Berat (357), Dibër (350), and Kukës (315).
