Albania COVID-19 Update 17 March: 15 Deaths, 446 Infections, 744 Recoveries

Fifteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,092. The victims’ age varies between 40 and 85.

There were 446 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 119 thousand.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 744 people; 82,554 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 33,369 of which 3,338 doses today.

There are currently 440 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 33 in intensive care, and 15 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (135), Shkodër (34), Durrës (26), Fier (19), Mirditë (17), Gjirokastër (17), Lezhë (16), Kavajë (14), Korçë (13), Vlorë (13), Berat (13), Kuçovë (13), Krujë (10), Ura Vajgurore (7), Devoll (6), Kukës (6), Pogradec (6), Lushnje (5), Sarandë (5), Vau i Dejës (5), Dibër (5), Librazhd (4), Përmet (4), Tepelenë (4), Peqin (4), Shijak (4), Kurbin (3), Elbasan (3), Has (3), Pukë (3), Mallakastër (3), Prrenjas (3), Memaliaj (3), Skrapar (3), two cases in Tropojë, Fushë Arrëz, Selenicë, Roskovec, Kolonjë, and one case Kamëz, Delvinë, Divajkë, Belsh, Gramsh, Poliçan, Libohovë .

34,292 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,137), Fier (2,556), Durrës (1,600), Vlorë (1,514), Shkodër (1,275), Gjirokaster (1,205), Korçë (837), Lezhë (716), Elbasan (481), Berat (304), Dibër (351), and Kukës (316).
