Eight people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1074. The victims’ age varies between 58 and 85.
538 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 52,542.
405 people have recovered, 27,831 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 376 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 30 are in intensive care, 10 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (192), Shkodra (45), Durrës (38), Kavaja (22), Fier (21), Berat (18), Elbasan (17), Lezha (17), Saranda (15), Korça (14), Lushnja (13), Mat (12), Vlora (11), Përmet (9), Kruja (9), Kukës (9), Mallakastra (9), Gjirokastra (8), Kurbin (7), Tropoja (7), Pogradec (5), Skrapar (5), Peqin (5), Devoll (4), Librazhd (4), Tepelena (3), Has (3), Delvina (2), Fushë- Arrez (2), Dibra (2), Gramsh (2), Puka (1), Mirdita (1), Ura-Vajgurore (1), Vau Dejës (1), Belsh (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), Kuçova (1), and Cërrik (1).
23,637 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (12698), Fier (1725), Durrës (1368), Korça (1093), Vlora (1138), Shkodra (1278), Elbasan (982), Berat (944), Lezha (944), Gjirokastra (564), Kukës (489), and Dibër (414).
