Albania COVID-19 Update 2 March: 19 Deaths, 892 Infections, 760 Recoveries

Nineteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,835. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 87.

There were 892 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 108,923.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 760 people; 71,173 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 15,027, of which 732 doses today.

There are currently 650 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 42 in intensive care, and 12 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (374), Fier (55), Vlorë (47), Durrës (45), Shkodër (30), Krujë (26), Berat (26), Kavajë (25), Lushnje (25), Kuçovë (25), Librazhd (23), Gjirokastër (22), Mallakastër (17), Elbasan (15), Kurbin (11), Mirditë (11), Përmet (10), Sarandë (9), Shijak (9), Kukës (8), Lezhë (8), Gramsh (8), Kamëz (7), Tepelenë (7), Korçë (6), Devoll (4), Has (4), Malësi e Madhe (4), Peqin (4), Vorë (3), two cases in Pogradec, Delvinë, Dibër, Kolonjë, Skrapar, Cerrik, Poliçan, and one case in Pukë, Tropojë, Ura Vajgurore, Divjakë, Bulqizë, Memaliaj, Maliq, Dropull, Këlcyrë, Libohovë.

35,815 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,123), Fier (2,657), Vlorë (1,789), Durrës (1,651), Shkodër (1,357), Gjirokaster (1,140), Elbasan (917), Korçë (865), Berat (840), Lezhë (790), Dibër (347), and Kukës (339).
