Albania COVID-19 Update 20 November: 15 Dead, 836 Infections, 490 Recoveries

Fifteen people – aged 1, 45, 49, 58, 61, 61, 65, 65, 66, 70, 71, 72, 80, 82, 86 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 672.

836 new cases have been found, a record high since the beginning of the pandemic, bringing the total number of cases to 31,459.

Today’s death toll and new cases mark a record high since the beginning of the pandemic.

490 people have recovered, 15,055 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 436 patients hospitalized with the virus, 10 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (560), Fier (31), Elbasan (31), Vlorë (30), Durrës (28), Kurbin (24), Shkodër (21), Krujë (16), Pogradec (15), Mirditë (14), Kuçovë (10), Gramsh (9), Malsi e Madhe (8), Pukë (7), Lushnje (5), Kolonjën (5), Korçë (4), Sarandë (4), Devoll (3), Gjirokastër (3), Mallakastër (2), Mat (2), Dibër (2), and one case in Tepelenë and Peqin.

15,732 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (8082), Durrës (1180), Fier (1151), Korçë (905), Shkodër (866), Vlorë (745), Elbasan (742), Lezhë (667), Berat (507), Gjirokastër (428), Kukës (317), Dibër (142).
