Ten people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1098. The victims’ age varies between 60 and 81.
422 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 53,425.
631 people have recovered; 28,752 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 379 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 27 are in intensive care, 9 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (179), Sarandë (32), Fier (21), Durrës (18), Shkodër (17), Elbasan (14), Kavajë (10), Lushnje (10), Vlorë (10,) Mat (10), Gjirokastër (9), Pogradec (8), Klos (8), Skrapar (7), Krujë (6), Kamëz (6), Korçë (5), Delvinë (5), Tepelenë (5), Mallakastër (4), Librazhd (4), Dibër (4), Gramsh (4), Poliçan (4), Lezhë (3), Kolonjë (3), Kurbin (2), Kukës (2), Berat (2), Këlcyrë (2), one case in Maliq, Peqin, Prrenjas, Divjakë, Përmet, Tropojë, Mirditë, Devoll.
23,575 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (12865), Fier (1700), Durrës (1310), Korça (1056), Vlora (1082), Shkodra (1317), Elbasan (939), Berat (918), Lezha (911), Gjirokastra (552), Kukës (488), and Dibër (437).
