Albania COVID-19 Update 21 February: 13 Deaths, 1184 Infections, 796 Recoveries

Thirteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,666. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 81.

There were 1,184 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 100,246.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 796 people; 63,329 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 632 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 40 in intensive care, and 14 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (482), Vlorë (72), Durrës (68),  Kuçovë (57), Elbasan (55), Sarandë (34), Kavajë (33), Mirditë (31), Lushnje (30), Shkodër (29), Gjirokastër (29), Fier (28), Tepelenë (22), Krujë (19), Gjirokastër (19), Lezhë (15), Malësi e Madhe (15), Përmet (14), Kurbin (13), Bulqizë (13), Peqin (9), Korçë (8), Berat (7), Mat (7), Pogradec (7), Kamëz (6), Gramsh (6), Devoll (5), Libohovë (5), Rrogozhinë (4), Ura Vajgurore (4), Prrenjas (4), Vorë (4), Patos (3), two caes in Pukë, Tropojë, Divjakë, Dibër, Kolonjë, Shijak, Cerrik, and one case in Has, Vau i Dejës, Belsh, Skrapar, Poliçan.

35,251 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (21,449), Fier (2,888), Durrës (1,833), Vlorë (1,816), Shkodër (1,466), Elbasan (1,087), Lezhë (1,031), Berat (1.017), Korçë (966), Gjirokaster (938), Dibër (382), and Kukës (378).
