Fifteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,696. The victims’ age varies between 63 and 87.
There were 1,021 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 102,306.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 1,085 people; 65,403 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 7970, of which 1242 doses today.
There are currently 648 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 42 in intensive care, and 15 intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (571), Vlorë (38), Durrës (37), Sarandë (37), Elbasan (35), Shkodër (33), Librazhd (33), Lushnje (21), Krujë (18), Fier (18), Kavajë (17), Berat (14), Kuçovë (14), Lezhë (12), Tepelenë (11), Kamëz (10), Korçë (8), Mirditë (8), Mallakastër (8), Gjirokastër (8), Kolonjë (7), Kukës (5), Has (5), Peqin (5), Gramsh (5), Devoll (3), Tropojë (3), Përmet (3), Dibër (3), Shijak (3), two cases in Rrogozhinë, Pogradec, Vau i Dejës, Divjakë, Selenicë, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqizë, Skrapar, and one case in Cërrik, Kurbin, Pukë, Mat, Delvinë, Ura Vajgurore, Prrenjas, Patos, Këlcyrë.
35,207 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (22,051), Fier (2,793), Durrës (1,787), Vlorë (1,778), Shkodër (1,410), Elbasan (918), Lezhë (824), Berat (1,028), Korçë (951), Gjirokaster (939), Dibër (353), and Kukës (375).
