Nineteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, marking another record high since the beginning of the pandemic. The death toll has reached 735. The government has ceased to report the victims’ age, noting only that it varies from 59 to 85.
744 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 34,300.
436 people have recovered, 16,666 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 455 patients hospitalized with the virus, 21 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (307), Fier (85), Lushnje (44), Kavajë (39), Elbasan (34), Shkodër (33), Durrës (32), Vlorë (29), Korçë (24), Gjirokastër (24), Përmet (19), Lezhë (14), Berat (11), Malësi e Madhe (8), Kuçovë (7), Skrapar (7), Mat (6), Tepelenë (6), Mallakastër (5), Pogradec (5), Kolonjë (4), Devoll (1).
16,899 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (8703), Fier (1333), Durrës (1246), Korçë (951), Shkodër (875), Vlorë (827), Elbasan (795), Lezhë (673), Berat (510), Gjirokastër (474), Kukës (362), Dibër (150).
