Albania has registered a new record in daily deaths of those infected with COVID-19; 21 people have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,736. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 89.
There were 986 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 104,313.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 849 people; 67,158 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 10,135, of which 1,031 doses today. There is a discrepancy in the reported total number, given that 7,970 doses were administered until 24 hours ago.
There are currently 628 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 46 in intensive care, and 18 intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (385), Korçë (47), Tepelenë (41), Fier (34), Durrës (33), Vlorë (33), Shkodër (32), Lushnje (28), Gjirokastër (28), Sarandë (28), Elbasan (27), Berat (26), Peqin (25), Krujë (22), Mallakastër (17), Kuçovë (17), Kurbin (13), Kavajë (13), Kamëz (13), Delvinë (12), Gramsh (11), Kukës (10), Lezhë (9), Përmet (8), Malësi e Madhe (8), Kolonjë (8), Mirditë (7), Mat (7), Devoll (4), Rrogozhinë (4), Bulqizë (4), Pogradec (3), Ura Vajgurore (3), Vau i Dejës (3), Dibër (3), Skrapar (3), Vorë (3), two cases in Librazhd, Divjakë, Himarë, Shijak, Patos, and one case in Tropojë, Cërrik, Poliçan, Këlcyrë.
35,419 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (22,444), Fier (2,686), Durrës (1,721), Vlorë (1,794), Shkodër (1,389), Gjirokaster (1,004), Elbasan (924), Lezhë (837), Berat (977), Korçë (936), Dibër (360), and Kukës (347).
