Albania COVID-19 Update 26 December: 9 Dead, 375 Infections, 391 Recoveries

Nine people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1143. The victims’ age varies between 38 and 86.

375 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 55,755.

391 people have recovered; 31,181 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 324 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 33 are in intensive care, 9 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (127), Fier (35), Durrës (32), Vlorë (24), Kavajë (20), Shkodër (19), Sarandë (12), Berat (11), Lushnje (9), Mallakastër (8), Kurbin (7), Dibër (7), Krujë (5), Elbasan (5), Peqin (5), Pogradec (4), Kolonjë (4), Kuçovë (4), Skrapar (4), Korçë (3), Tropojë (3), Librazhd (3), two cases in Devoll, Mat, Përmet, Delvinë, Memaliaj, Gramsh, and one case in Lezhë, Has, Kamëz, Gjirokastër, Vau i Dejës, Divjakë, Malësi e Madhe, Vorë, Maliq, Patos, Cerrik, Poliçan.

23,431 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (13195), Fier (1602), Durrës (1271), Korça (960), Vlora (1070), Shkodra (1345), Elbasan (892), Berat (880), Lezha (877), Gjirokastra (510), Kukës (447), and Dibër (382).
