Twenty one people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,796. This is the second time Albania registers a record 21 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. The victims’ age varies between 50 and 91.
There were 962 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 107,167.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 804 people; 69,773 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 12,467, of which 1,331 doses today.
There are currently 662 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 49 in intensive care, and 14 intubated in aggravated condition.
35,598 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (22,887), Fier (2,667), Durrës (1,680), Vlorë (1,746), Shkodër (1,373), Gjirokaster (1,075), Berat (844), Korçë (914), Elbasan (876), Lezhë (826), Dibër (374), Kukës (335).
