Albania COVID-19 Update 28 March: 6 Deaths, 285 Infections, 568 Recoveries

Six people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,216. The victims’ age varies between 54 and 83.

There were 285 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 124,419.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 568 people; 90,024 since the beginning of the pandemic.

This is the second day the government has ceased to report on vaccines administered, since it announced the start of of vaccination for people over 70. 

There are currently 311 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 16 in intensive care, and 7 intubated in aggravated condition.

32,179 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (22,149), Fier (2,602), Durrës (1,320), Vlorë (1,174), Shkodër (1,221), Gjirokaster (1,264), Korçë (781), Lezhë (473), Elbasan (408), Kukës (362), Dibër (324), Berat (101).
