Albania COVID-19 Update 3 December: 13 Dead, 782 Infections, 572 Recoveries

Thirteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 852.

About 55 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred in the last two months.

782 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 40,501. About 67 percent of the total cases have occurred in the last two months.

572 people have recovered, 20,484 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 480 patients hospitalized with the virus, 33 are in intensive care, 14 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (315), Sarandë (46), Fier (32), Kavajë (32), Vlorë (32), Berat (31), Durrës (30), Lushnje (30), Shkodër (28), Elbasan (23), Lezhë (22), Kolonjë (21), Pogradec (18), Kuçovë (16), Kurbin (15), Krujë (10), Has (9), Përmet (9), Malësi e Madhe (8), Kukës (7), Mirditë (7), Mallakastër (7), Gramsh (7), Mat (6), Korçë (5), Delvinë (5), Peqin (4), Skrapar (4), and one case in Librazhd, Gjirokastër, Bulqizë.

19,165 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (10282), Fier (1455), Durrës (1320), Korçë (982), Vlorë (953), Shkodër (844),  Elbasan (794), Lezhë (742), Berat (649), Gjirokastër (534), Kukës (397), Dibër (213).
