Albania COVID-19 Update 3 February: 6 Deaths, 1007 Infections, 581 Recoveries

Six people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,404. The victims’ age varies between 49 and 92.

The number of new cases today was 1007, a record since the beginning of the pandemic, during which 80,941 cases have been registered in total.

Those recovered in the last 24-hours are 581 people; 48,958 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 404 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 21 in intensive care, and 6 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (289), Fier (76), Lushnje (72), Durrës (54), Vlorë (51), Elbasan (48), Shkodër (32), Kavajë (28), Lezhë (25), Mallakastër (24), Kamëz (23), Krujë (20), Kurbin (19), Korçë (19), Sarandë (18), Kukës (16), Gjirokastër (15), Berat (14), Malësi e Madhe (14), Divjakë (12), Mat (11), Kuçovë (11), Pogradec (9), Gramsh (8), Përmet (7), Delvinë (7), Librazhd (6), Tepelenë (6), Prrenjas (6), Himarë (6), Shijak (6), Ura Vajgurore (5), Dibër (5), Skrapar (5), Patos (5), Fushë Arrëz (4), Has (3), Mirditë (3), Bulqizë (3), Peqin (3), Memaliaj (3), Cerrik (3), two cases in Vau i Dejës, Kolonjë, Poliçan, Dropull, Konispol, and one case in Devoll, Pukë, Rrogozhinë. 

30,579 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (17308), Fier (2607), Durrës (1725), Shkodër (1517), Vlorë (1483), Elbasan (1424),  Lezhë (1071),  Korçë (979), Berat (931), Gjirokaster (628), Kukës (480), and Dibër (426).
