Albania COVID-19 Update 3 March: 21 Deaths, 851 Infections, 766 Recoveries

Twenty one people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,856. The victims’ age varies between 42 and 94.

There were 851 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 109,674.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 903 people; 72,076 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 15,793, of which 766 doses today.

There are currently 606 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 42 in intensive care, and 10 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (377), Pogradec (48), Elbasan (30), Kavajë (30), Durrës (29), Vlorë (28), Shkodër (27), Fier (26), Berat (25), Lezhë (23), Sarandë (21), Krujë (19), Peqin (18), Korçë (17), Kamëz (14), Lushnje (12), Mirditë (12), Gjirokastër (9), Kuçovë (7), Kukës (6), Kurbin (5), Has (5), Librazhd (5), Pukë (4), Tropojë (4), Tepelenë (4), Vorë (4), Devoll (3), Përmet (3), Bulqizë (3), Kolonjë (3), Gramsh (3), two cases in Ura Vajgurore, Vau i Dejës, Fushë Arrëz, Belsh, Dibër, Shijak, Maliq, Poliçan, one case in Rrogozhinë, Mallakastër, Selenicë, Malësi e Madhe, Prrenjas, Skrapar, Patos, Cerrik, Dropull, Këlcyrë, Libohovë.

35,742 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,219), Fier (2,635), Vlorë (1,780), Durrës (1,629), Shkodër (1,342), Gjirokaster (1,088), Elbasan (899), Korçë (894), Lezhë (795), Berat (774), Dibër (349), and Kukës (338).
