Albania COVID-19 Update 30 August: 3 Deaths, 486 Infections, 207 Recoveries

Three COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,495.

There were 486 new cases today, while total cases amounted to 145,333.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 207 people; 133,332 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 97 patients hospitalized with the virus.

9,506 cases remain active in the country.

Reminder: In case you notice symptoms of the virus, call the National Emergency number 127. Citizens can also call the Green Line at 0800 40 40 for psychological counseling or any information regarding COVID-19.

Today, the Committee of Technical Experts announced new anti-pandemic measures. Starting September 1, curfew will begin at 11:00 p.m. and everyone entering Albania will need to provide proof of vaccination, or a negative test.

September will continue to be open vaccination month for all Albanian citizens and residents over 18. Anyone wishing to get a vaccine, can visit a vaccination center with an ID.
