Albania COVID-19 Update 30 January: 11 Dead, 901 Infections, 507 Recoveries

Eleven people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,369. The victims’ age varies between 48 and 80.

901 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 77,251. This is a record in daily cases in Albania since the beginning of the pandemic, as it has been during the last 4 days due to the increasing numbers of tests administered.

507 people have recovered; 46,927 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 287 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 20 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (274), Durrës (57), Vlorë (48), Shkodër (44), Elbasan (42), Sarandë (42), Lezhë (40), Lushnje (29), Kavajë (28), Krujë (25), Fier (20), Gjirokastër (18), Mat (17), Kukës (16), Korçë (15), Kurbin (14), Berat (13), Librazhd (12), Tepelenë (11), Dibër (9), Gramsh (9), Pogradec (8), Divjakë (8), Kuçovë (8), Patos (8), Mallakastër (6), Kamëz (6), Skrapar (6), Rrogozhinë (5), Delvinë (5), Ura Vajgurore (5), Prrenjas (5), Bulqizë (5), Vau i Dejës (4), Malësi e Madhe (4), Peqin (4), Devoll (3), Mirditë (3), Roskovec (3), Shijak (3), Cërrik (3), Poliçan (3), Belsh (2), Himarë (2), Kolonjë (2), Klos (2), Vorë (2), Has (1), Memaliaj (1).

28,572 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (16647), Fier (2225), Durrës (1604), Shkodër (1424), Elbasan (1394), Vlorë (1303), Lezhë (1035),  Korçë (913), Berat (909), Gjirokaster (595), Dibër (447), and Kukës (459).
