Nineteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 889.
Over 56 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus, or exactly 502 deaths have occurred since October.
846 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 42,148. Over 67 percent of the total cases have occurred in the last two months.
312 people have recovered, 21,286 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 469 patients hospitalized with the virus, 31 are in intensive care, 11 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (265), Durrës (113), Fier (108), Elbasan (82), Vlorë (74), Korçë (72), Pogradec (31), Lushnje (26), Has (13), Peqin (10), Delvinë (10), Tropojë (7), Kurbin (7), Krujë (6), Mallakastër (5), Shkodër (4), Mat (4), Kuçovë (3), Kavajë (2), Gramsh (2), Malësi e Madhe (1), Berat (1).
19,973 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (10680), Fier (1541), Durrës (1375), Korçë (1088), Vlorë (1017), Shkodër (854), Elbasan (865), Lezhë (726), Berat (653), Gjirokastër (514), Kukës (422), Dibër (238).
