Albania COVID-19 Update 5 February: 15 Deaths, 1089 Infections, 676 Recoveries

Fifteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,433. The victims’ age varies between 34 and 86.

The number of new cases today was 1089, a record since the beginning of the pandemic, during which 83,082 cases have been registered in total.

Those recovered in the last 24-hours are 676 people; 50,219 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 423 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 27 in intensive care, and 12 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (403), Durrës (59), Lushnje (56), Fier (52), Vlorë (42), Lezhë (39), Sarandë (36), Elbasan (35), Krujë (33), Kuçovë (31), Shkodër (26), Berat (25), Kurbin (23), Korçë (23), Kukës (21), Kamëz (18), Librazhd (16), Gjirokastër (13), Kavajë (11), Peqin (9), Mirditë (8), Përmet (8), Ura Vajgurore (8), Bulqizë (8), Gramsh (8), Mat (7), Tepelenë (7), Malësi e Madhe (7), Mallakastër (6), Delvinë (6), Skrapar (6), Dibër (5), Pukë (4), Pogradec (4), Patos ($), Has (3), two cases in Belsh, Prrenjas, Kolonjë, Poliçan, Dropull, and one case in Devoll, Rrogozhinë, Tropojë, Vau i Dejës, Divjakë, Selenicë, Himarë, Memaliaj, Finiq.

31,430 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (17910), Fier (2692), Durrës (1730), Shkodër (1546), Vlorë (1544), Elbasan (1418),  Lezhë (1091),  Korçë (964), Berat (972), Gjirokaster (677), Kukës (478), and Dibër (408).
