Seventeen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 906.
Over 56 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus, or exactly 519 deaths have occurred since October.
695 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 43,683. Over 67 percent of the total cases have occurred in the last two months.
563 people have recovered, 22,180 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 479 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which, 35 are in intensive care, 9 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (345), Shkodra (75), Fier (52), Berat (47), Vlora (42), Kavaja (33), Gjirokastra (24), Lushnja (23), Pogradec (22), Lezha (19), Kruja (18), Korça (17), Kolonja (15), Mirdita (14), Kuçova (11), Skrapar (11), Mat (10), Gramsh (9), Kukës (8), Saranda (7), Malësi e Madhe (7), Peqin (7), Tepelena (6), Librazhd (5), Devoll (4), Durrës (3), Mallakastra (2), Bulqiza (1), Tropoja (1), Has (1), and Elbasan (1).
20,581 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (11041), Fier (1612), Durrës (1349), Korça (1122), Vlora (1037), Shkodra (903), Elbasan (872), Lezha (740), Berat (701), Gjirokastra (518), Kukës (434), and Dibra (252).
