The First Intergovernmental Conference between the European Union and Albania and Northern Macedonia may be held in December 2020.
EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca, in a Twitter post wrote that ‘The German EU Presidency should be able to organize the first ICCs with the two countries in December. It is possible, we see that the conditions are. “Where there is desire, there is a way.”
The First Intergovernmental Conference determines the practical start of Albania-EU negotiations.
If the conference is to be held in December, Albania must have made concrete progress in the 15 conditions that the European Parliament has included in the resolution for the opening of negotiations with Albania.
