Starting July 1st, COVID-19 restrictions will be further relaxed across Albania.
Curfew will begin at midnight and last until 06:00 a.m every day.
Bars and restaurants can operate during this timeframe and home delivery outside curfew hours will be permitted.
Sports events, plays, cultural activities, and conferences can be opened to the public at a reduced capacity of 30% of their original volume.
Wearing masks outdoors no longer is obligatory. However, masks will be required indoors for locations where social distancing cannot be maintained, such as healthcare facilities, state and local government offices, public and private transport, schools, and kindergartens.
Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, emphasized that the government is alert to the Delta variant and she recommended that people continue to be careful.
According to her, this new variant of the coronavirus has been identified in Kosovo. Experts think that this version is more infectious than earlier variants of the virus, even though it poses a relatively low threat to fully vaccinated people.
The vaccination process continues in Albania. Over 960,000 doses of vaccine have been administered so far, and a total of 403,504 citizens received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.
