On 28 December 2020, the Albanian Ministry of Defence received 60 sets of ventilator consumables donated by the NATO Pandemic Response Trust Fund.
This donation was coordinated by NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) with financial contributions from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
It comes following a previous shipment of 60 ventilators that were designated for use in four dedicated COVID-19 hospitals in Tirana and other regions in the country.
This support comes following Albania’s requests for international assistance through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center. Additional equipment is expected to be delivered to Albania in the coming weeks.
