Albania will donate EUR 250,000 to Croatia following the December 29 earthquake.
The news was announced by Prime Minister Rama through a post on Twitter, where he wrote:
“I just signed a government decision to donate EUR 250,000 to Croatia to help the rebirth of Petrinja after the devastating earthquake! Croatia is an example of resurgence and a model for us in transforming into an EU member state!”
Earlier, Kosovo also expressed its readiness to help Croatia.
A strong earthquake, measuring about 6.3, shook central Croatia, causing dozens of injuries, 7 deaths, and significant damage to buildings in Petrinja, a city southeast of Zagreb.
The quake was felt throughout Croatia, as well as in neighbouring Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as far as Graz in southern Austria.
Several buildings collapsed in Petrinja, about 60km from Zagreb.
