Albania to Make Face Masks Mandatory in Closed Spaces

Albania will make face masks mandatory in closed spaces and high-risk open spaces. Those who fail or refuse to use face masks will be penalized as individuals.

Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu announced the decision of the expert council during a visit to health center no. 8 in Tirana.

Previously, the government had made face masks obligatory only in public transport vehicles and high-risk, close contact business activities.

As of July 14, there are 1508 coronavirus active cases in the country. Albania has reported 3667 cases in total and 97 victims.
